Sharing with those in need since 2012.
What price would you pay for a hot, home cooked meal? What if you were homeless or home bound or elderly?
Temple’s Table began its ministry with opening up the doors of the Family Life Center of Temple Baptist Church in Raleigh to feed anyone who needed or wanted a meal. The meals were home cooked, served with smiles to declare the dignity of those who came.
That first day nine meals were shared. Nine individuals got something hearty and fulfilling.
As time passed, the word got out about the food served by the volunteers at Temple’s Table. A request was made to carry meals to the homebound and elderly. With that shift made Temple’s Table took off in a new direction.
From those first nine meals to now we see the ministry serving over 400 on the first and third Sunday each month. This number includes the Church in the Woods and meals served at Moore Square. The growth of this ministry is only limited by the amount of donations given and the number of volunteers that work.
The volunteers that work at Temple’s Table include both adults, youth and children. We are grateful for the multigenerational and multiethnic way that we serve. You are invited to be a part of this ministry that shares the love of Christ with the vulnerable that live among us.
